About me

As a Cultural Care local childcare consultant (LCC), I invite our host families and au pairs as well as those considering Cultural Care Au Pair to explore my site and learn about what is going on in our community. I provide year-round support to host families and au pairs, and also talk to families considering the program to help them determine if Cultural Care Au Pair is the right childcare solution for them.

Industry Leader In Cultural Exchange

I have been an Au Pair Specialist and MommyMate for 10 years in the Bay Area and worked with hundreds of families just like you… I have helped place almost 500 au pairs with families all over the country and take pride in getting to know each family and au pair from the first step of the process and for years to come. My complimentary services include successfully supporting and coaching host families to enrich their program participation and helping them find their perfect match. When it comes to finding childcare for your family, it is important to have a MommyMate you can trust completely. Through my commitment in building global families by bringing a personalized cultural childcare experience for my host families, I have received Regional and National awards and accolades for my exemplary customer support and service. I am honored to be an advocate for a program that allows families to open their doors to a world of cultural experiences. Through my personal experience and my experience with au pairs and their host families, I have been inducted to the elite circle of the Leadership League honoring my efforts for the last 5 years! My love for this program runs deep and being in the top 5% of the company, you can rest assured that your questions, concerns, and hosting experience will be my top priority! Her Story

In my childhood, I had the opportunity to participate in a soccer exchange program and lived for a summer in Germany. This experience changed my life.  It made me want to travel and see the world. So in between my graduate and undergraduate studies, I took a semester off to travel to 13 different European countries.  When I returned to school, I ended up writing my thesis on a worldwide study of happiness and life-satisfaction, where I traveled multiple times back to Europe to collect my data.  Then, a few years later, my husband and I lived in Tokyo, Japan for a 3-year period. It was there that my first child was born.

The “MommyMates” Philosophy

Now I have 2 daughters and live in Mountain View, California. I can easily say that having children and living and traveling abroad, are two of the biggest impacts on my life. The au pair program, encapsulates both. My girls and I call ourselves “MommyMates,” when we participate in activities that empower children and that are good to our mother earth. I understand the importance of raising children in a loving environment, with an openness to different cultures and ideas.  When you become a host family, and model for your children the idea of being good to the planet and the people on it,  you become a “MommyMate.”  It is a pleasure to be a part of a program that unites cultures and people together, while providing a quality childcare opportunity for American host families. I am excited to be part of this exchange and look forward to meeting you!
