Children’s Art Sale for Charity – May is Kids 4 Kid’s First Month at Cultural Care

WHAT DOES LOVE LOOK LIKE?

What better way to get your children involved in service, than to create some art for charity? At this year’s host family multicultural picnic, on May 17th, the au pairs will be facilitating our first annual children’s art sale for Kid’s First. They will be asking your children to create art with the theme of, “WHAT DOES LOVE LOOK LIKE?” Then we will sell the pieces of art at the host family event. Everyone is able to participate!

*AU PAIRS help the children with the service activity

*KIDS make the artwork… It can be anything – a drawing, painting, poem, clay or pottery piece.

*HOST FAMILIES donate to buy the artwork created

All the Money raised will go to Kids 4 Kid’s First

Throughout the month of May, LCCs, au pairs, host families and staff will all help our kids get involved in giving back and helping children in need around the world through donations to Save the Children and activities for children in their communities. In addition to the 100% Cultural Care match, Johnson & Johnson is also matching donations to Save the Children so the kids’ donations will go four times as far! Soccer balls, school books, baby chicks, musical instruments and art supplies are just some of the items that our donations will purchase through Save the Children. Even a small donation can make a big impact! Visit the site for some great ideas on how to get your kids involved.  http://www.culturalcarekidsfirst.org/national-kids-4-kids-first-month.html
